Corinne Schnur

Monotypes are one-of-a-kind, hand-made, prints. Corinne utilizes water-based, non-toxic inks and water-soluble oils, sometimes enhanced with collage and chine colle. She rolls, brushes or drips the medium onto a flat plexiglass plate, manipulates the medium, then pressure prints from the plate onto quality paper. The technique produces unique and often unexpected results.

Corinne Schnur’s monotypes are inspired by her dreams, subconscious, and the natural world.

Corinne’s work is in private collections, and her work has been exhibited in the Los Angeles area in gallery shows including the Warner-Marriott, Barnsdall Art Park, the Pasadena Learning and Product Expo – Art!, the Annual Depot Art Show, presented by the Chatsworth Fine Arts Council, and the Valley Institute of Visual Art (VIVA Art Center). This exhibit at Naya Fresh Body Spa marks her first solo show.

Corinne has studied with Master Printmaker Ron Pokrasso and multi-media artist Diane Dubin.

She has worked in the Chatsworth community for more than 20 years and enjoys the relative calm of the area.
